About Diabetes Australia – Vic
Diabetes Australia – Vic (DA–Vic) is the peak consumer body and leading charity representing all people affected by diabetes and those at risk in Victoria, Australia.
We are committed to minimising the impact of diabetes in the community, helping all people affected by diabetes and contributing to the search for a cure. Our work covers type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, as well as programs for people at risk.
We also rely heavily on the generosity of our caring community of members and supporters to help fund our diabetes education, awareness activities and research.

About our blog
The intention of this blog is to provide personal perspectives about living with diabetes, working in the diabetes community or about a personal connection with someone who has diabetes.
The blog does not intend to provide health information or advice.
Many different people contribute to the DA–Vic blog. Some contributors work at DA–Vic, some are members of our organisation and some are health professionals working in other diabetes related areas. The views and opinions expressed by the writers are solely their own and do not represent the views of DA–Vic.
As a leading diabetes charity we understand that our audience is wide and varied. This means that we must have many different channels of communication to talk to the broad community about what we do and how we do it. The DA–Vic blog is written to complement our other communication methods which include our website, Diabetes Today magazine, a variety of newsletters, Twitter and our Facebook page.
